ok, i've just started installing my shift kit, and i've hit a snag. My ECU pins are not labeled, i'm trying to work out which is which... also i thought i'd ask... my ECU catchcode isn't on the list of EF catchcodes???

First things first - there's more catch codes out there than you could shake a stick at. So dont be stressed if yours doesnt appear on any of the lists getting around.

Re: "labelling" of wires in the loom... if you look carefully at the harness plug (i think it's on the side which goes into the eec connector..), there should be a number on the end of each row indicating what number that wire is... so its a matter of counting "in" from that to find the pin you are looking for.

i.e. if one end of a row of pins has 1 and the other end has 20... and you're looking for 15 - it will be somewhere in between those two...

Kapish?

Thanks marty. I thought each pin was labeled... i see the ones you're talking about. My bad... I think i've found the 71 and 81 pins.... 81 is green and thick and 71 is red with grey dashs and alot thinner.... I'll get to cuttin'.

Thanks again man.

Pardon the french, but f**k colours on wiring diagrams, lol. Go by the pin numbers and you cant go wrong. Colours never seem to match... is that green or blue? Hmm... more of an aqua with a beige stripe.... etc etc

Remember you only need to cut 1 wire, just strip the other...
