hi guys i own a 94 ef and was wondering what would be a good setup in terms of springs and shocks. i want a firmer ride but enough stroke 2 absorb the bumps. Also like most efs the car sits higher in the back, do i need lower springs in the back 2 make the car sit level?

Whiteline springs level the car. I have been very happy with my whiteline kit, provides exactly what I wanted.

As above. I also got the swaybars, front and rear. Thoroughly impressed with the results

when you lower the car you need to match it with shorter shocks. the longer shocks travel further than the spring and can cause it to jump out or soemthing... |

if you go lower than 1 1/2 in get new shocks but if not, its not needed if you dont want to spend the cash.

When you lower the suspension, you shorten the amount of travel the system has before it slams into the body (bump stops). To counter this you need new shocks that will dissipate the energy in the springs quickly enough to stop it hitting the body. In laymens terms: If you have 4 inches of travel, and your shock stops the spring going upwards in 3. When you lower the car by 2 inches with the same shock... I am sure you see what i mean. |
