Hey guys,

Just wondering if its possible to fit an ef block into an xe fairmont ghia as im getting a stage 5 enging put in my ef fairmont soon.

alright i may be wayyy off here, but could you bolt straight in XH engine mounts.???

its been posted before...
but anyway
it can be done, you need xg engine mounts, swaybar, radiator, and some other little bits and pieces..

you also need a complete loom to suit the ef motor, need to modify an ef (or get an xh) cluster... oh and then you need to make a tranny fit, (t5 will fit nicely)

oh and there may be bonnet clearence issues.. not sure on that one

its a huge job, but a xe with a 4.0l OHC would scream....

i dont know much about if but if you need some advice come to xfalcon.com guy or 2 on there has done it. One guy put a full XH interior into his XF it looks fkn nice

hey ive just finished putting an ebii engine in my xf and had no probs.i did use the standard xf mounts and the engine sits in there nicely.i running a c9 auto also so the t5 should be good also.

so xf mounts are fine? how is the bonnet clearence??

i hope it will be ok,if u look from side on the turbo and the plenum is still lower than the top of the shocks.and yeh the xf mounts r fine.im working my a*** off trying to get it completed for the all ford day in canberra,so u will get to see it in the flesh.

that pic looks awesome hope it all works fine. Ive got a mate who is in the process of putting an ef engine into an XE at the moment, it all fits. he had to use an xg radiator, engine mounts, recovery bottle. But it all fits fine and still plenty of clearence.

Awesome job! Love that paint job, that engine will look sweet when its all finished. Put up progress pictures if you like. Maybe the rest of the car as well - keep up the good work!!
