ok, need sum feedback.
just noticed water trail (fresh) on the rear of the engine just dribbling down and over where the engine number stamp is on the I6. EF FAIRMONT GHIA SER 2 which has the xr6 donk.been no increase in temps and i already know the rubber seal on the rad cap is stuffed so ive had to but tiny bit of h2o to top it up,never below the min line. is this signs of the dredded HEAD GASKET DEATH or other possibilities. engine has 144,758 kms on her.

Check hoses etc first. I don't know how high it's leaking, but it could even be the welsch plugs.

yep the head it is! nothing else down that side of the engine apart from a heater pipe (but thats metal very, very unlikly for that to be it)
Just a remember boys all head bolts have been fased out and we know use AU head bolts. this means a slight filing down of the rocker assy where the head bolts sit so they fit and a diffrent torque procedure its now 45nm and 120 degrease instead of 45nm and 90 degrease that was done for ea-el head bolts. ensure the block is spotless |

oh and try to lay off the sandpaper good for bedding in your rings. but thats not really needed on an engine thats done well over 100,000 clicks
