G'day out there,

I stumbled accross this website when I stopped to get fuel and there was an EB wagon being towed with this website plastered accross the back windscreen.I've got an EBII 4.0L auto wagon and the auto is starting to shift hard in 1st and 2nd.I suspect that the solenoids are on there way out and I know that it will cost 2 grand plus to reco it so I've picked up a cheap EAII S pack sedan with a 5 speed and limo rear end and I want to convert my wagon to manual. The EA is a 4.0L multipoint as well so I think the ECU's should be compatable. Do I need to change ECU's?A friend of mine thinks that the transmission part of the ECU will just go into limp mode and wont affect anything anyhow?I would also like to slide the limo under the rear but am not sure if the sedan and wagon diffs interchange (leaf spings to coils).I would also appreciate any hints if you have any.

Gus.

you will need a smartlock EB2 ECU, the EA one won't work in your EB2 wagon . Or you can trick your ECU to cut out the auto problems . once you have convertied it to manual.

I've got one for sale at the moment on ebay ...

EB2 Manual ECU

Thanks altedXR6,
Do tou know what has to be done to modify my original ecu to trick it.I am not sure if the EA II came out with SMARTLOCK, but it does have a red body control module. I have also been told that the original pedal boxes need to be beefed up a bit as they are a bit light on.

EA 2 had no smartlock, you can strengthen the pedal boxes up, its always a good idea when they are out of the car ..
