Have you changed your diff ratio and the speedo gear?
The auto uses the output shaft speed and throttle position to work out when to change. If you change the speedo gear and the ECu doesn't know about it then it can change at the wrong time.

My auto seems to be holding up ok. The only issue I have at the moment is getting it to change up to 4th. I find most times I have to accelerate up to about 100 then back off and it will change up... Might be the early signs of a dying auto....
