i just got myself a EF Ghia and it has the top spec stereo.

somone has taken the top half of the double din unit out and fitted a mid spec head unit

it runs the stacker but the lower half of the top spec unit is not used and the rear speakers dont work either.

im geussing the lower part of the head unit runs the amp and rear speakers

dose anyone have a top spec head unit (with code) they want to sell ?

or is there a way to run a aftermarket or later model head unit with the alpine stacker??

cheers Rod

Yeah it is....with the EF's they had black buttons and with EL's they had white.

I have the preium sound head unit here in cappaccino...not sure if I want to sell it though, how much are you offering?

the bottom unit, should control your speakers, and changes the cd's when he put the top unit in, he must have stuffed something up

i pulled it out yesterday and the lower part is all disconected .

the stereo thats been put in the top half is called mid spec in the owners manual and is the same as whats in my NL.

it looks like it pluged straight in although there are a few plugs just sitting there not pluged into anything but they come out of the lower half and plobly pluged into the origanal top half.

my interior is cappa and my stereo is black
