I've always been a fan of Polk Audio speakers. They have an excellent reputation in home audio and I reakon they sound pretty good in their car audio speakers.

You can pick up some non-production models on Ebay pretty cheap. When I bought my 6 1/2" splits and 6x9s off Ebay, I got about AUD$1000 worth of speaker for about $250.

Currently, there's a few listings of new, current production model Polk 6 1/2" splits on Ebay in USA for around US$100 + shipping... retail on the in USD is around the $250 - $350 mark

Depending on what money your willing to lay down for them and how good a quality you want id look at Bostons, Focals etc; jump on www.CarAudioAustralia.com and see what they reccomend for your budget/vehicle as there is alot of these Q's asked on that site.. Also they have a For Sale section in which you could possibly pick up a bargain; know I did.

The kickers have woeful sensitivity according to the webste. 87-88dB for the kickers compared to 92-93dB for the Polk audios.

Ok if you're driving the kickers with an amp, but if you're using just a head unit or even, god forbid, the stock Ford headunit, the kickers won't sound very loud.
