Hey guys/girls

i replaced my fuel pump last time rite and followed the gregories book and also asked for u guys for some help. in the end it worked and it works well until now. The cap has gone lose and petrol is seeping out since i filled it up yesterday. now the plastic cap has gone all soft becos of the octane and now its a b**ch to unscrew. is it best to get a new cap or just remove that one and put it back in?

cheers

I think you will find it is the O ring that has had it. You did replace it when you did the pump didnt you. When you put the new one in smear it with some vasaline so it wount get court or split.

make a u shaped tool out of some wire, thick wire, that fits on the plastic ring, you will be able to tighten the ring alot better.

well i bought a new o ring and its bloody expensive. 21 bux for a piece of rubber so much rip off. hopefully that one works better. and i tighten it. by the way thanks for the tool thing. i didn't use it but the cover is on pretty tight, hopefully nothing is wrong.

cheers
