Alot harder then the Haynes service manual made it out to be.
My gearbox was slipping something shocking into and out of 2nd gear, so this arvo I jacked the car, and got under there.
The rear band (left hand side of box) was a b**ch, cause the loom was in the way.
My better judgement told me not to tempt fate and disconnect it. Knowing my luck the brittle plugs would shatter or something trying to get them off
After ALOT of swearing, and probably more luck then I'd like to admit cause I couldn't fit my torque wrench under there, I finished in probly 15-20minutes.
Shifts are alot stronger, no slip.
But it's still struggling to shift at full throttle, I was hoping adjusting the bands might fix that up, but apparently not.
So in closing, definately something that's possible to do yourself, if you've got small female-like hands, and are patient.
(Both qualities I don't posess, although people have said I have b**ch hands...)

also have u had a tranny service done? could be old fluid

also get a oil cooler for it

if you adjusted the band behind the loom that is the forward band
the reverse band is on the right hand side at the back

your trans doesnt have external adjustments
you have to take the pan and valve body of yours to make any adjustments

Upon realising that I couldn't actually get a torque wrench in there to torque it to what the Haynes Manual specified I did what is technically called 'a fiddle'.
I just tightened up both the band adjustments, they were pretty loose (alot more so then they are supposed to be apparently).
Yeah Brett, should have mentioned, it's only EA-ED you can do this on Chaser.
Yeah Frank, I'll take it down to get an auto service sometime this week.
I don't have the time/can't be f**k changing the fluid myself, and seeing as I'm on nightshift, my penalty rates should cover the cost
