hey my xc is 302 with 600 holley on it and ive compared it to my mates v8's and their fuel economy is so much better. most are like 18mile to the gallon yet mine is only 10mile to the gallon and there engines is a 308 v8 and the other is a worked 350 chev with 500hp and it uses less petrol then my car:?. is there a way 2 make it use less fuel? i heard you can do sumthing with the carby to make it use less petrol. does anyone know exactly what you do or any other ways to get better mileage?

cheers

What a laugh.

no mate on the serious side.

Clevelands werent exactly the most fuel efficient engines.
10 miles to the gallon is actually good on this engine.

There is a way to improve mileage,
Pump your tyres to 35 psi and take it easy when you accelerate.

I do also remember the zg fairlane using a single carb setup on the cleveland.

If you want your car to accelerate slower than usual but get 20 miles to the gallon then i would be sourcing this set up from a 1975 fairlane.

hope this helps mate.

if it runs rich, replace the jets and pcv valve with ones that arent as large, or get the carby tuned.
