just wondering if a manual console will fit around an auto. Need a new one to finish off my interior and I wanted to make a leather boot to go around the shifter so it will look like a manual. Not that it was my intention to look like a manual
 but thats what seems to be happening Just dont like the look of the auto shifter.

So you want the leather gear stick surround? What about the gear knob?

sorry didn't mean to say leather the vinyl i used for the doors i'm gonna use to sew the boot. Gear knob i'll just use whatever i find as long as it's black or red

If I did I would've mentioned it. But it was an easy mod, just swap the auto shifter surround for I believe it was an EL GT one (black leather), lost the econ/power button, but who cares.

I like this idea, but can't you use the dash mounted econ/power switch used in the 6 seater wagons?

hmm i think i might have a go at this, could you use a normal EF/EL manual gear boot on the EA-ED manual shifter panel?
