So who has had this issue?
When the Falc is at standard running temp, the car over revs when you put the clutch in for gear changes! Like massive rev increase. It behaves like a stuck cable, or an odd fast idle issue but it's not. The standard idle at the lights can vary from 1,500 to 2,300 (at which point you pull the clutch a bit to make it back off) it's the standard EF engine with no dizzy... so any ideas? |

Its the stupid idle speed controller, a thing that lives ontop of the throttle body. Dissconnect the wires going to it and adjust the idle manually. You dont need the idle speed controller on a manual vehicle. Might just be a bit harder to start on a cold morning thats about it. the car will behave much better. and when u rev it the revs will come down quicker.
