I was told yesterday - (30/09/2005) by Bob Jane in Granville that spacers and adapters are definitely illegal in most states.

I was told a couple of months ago by a Vic Roads Inspector that Hub Adaptors would considered to be the same as spacers and therefore illegal in Victoria.

It isn't altering the wheel track, if it is just correcting the offset.

As BOB JANE CAN BE C**k I think its there company policy not to touch cars with hub adaptors as I got a Wheel alignment after the car came back from the panel beaters & I asked them to balence a rim & I offered cash & they still knocked me back.
Go to St George Tyres on Princess Hwy at Arncliff or Enquire about hub adaptors at any Private/independent tyre shop not a Branded tyre shop like BOB JANE,BRIDGESTONE or Goodyear as most have to follow company rule book where as a private/independent tyre shop you will get better service & even try TEMPE tyres.

That pic is of my hub adapters. If you have a problem, see a consulting engineer and get them engineered for the vehicle. Problem of legalities solved. Not a cheap option though as you are looking at 250 odd just to start the paperwork for the engineering

No Problem at all. They are the front ones, which have been deleted now that the CMS Big Brake kit is on the front
