Have a question about the rocker arms on the I6. Are the lash adjusters on the rocker arms replacable or do you have to replace the whole rocker arm?

You can gently punch the lash adjusters out of the rocker arm through the hole in the top of the arm.

Ford charge a bit for them.. $15-20ea from memory.

If you're feeling keen and dont wanna fork out big money, head down to the wrecker and you'll probably get the whole rocker gear (with lash adjusters) for $50-60. Pull them all out, pull them apart, clean them and you'll have a set as good as new.

Also pick up the Lash Adjuster Retainer kit, its the little plastic ring around the top of the HLA which keeps it in the rocker arm.

No worries. In that case if you can work out which one it might be, pull it out and give it a bit of a clean up.

Its rare that a quick service wont resolve noisy HLA's
