ive just done auto to maual conversion of an EF , no problems with box and pedals , even got a manual ECU .

Now the problem begins , the loom from the box Im pretty sure is from an ea eb , of course the car wont start ! , the loom on the auto is entirley different colored wires to the manual , Ive read the article in here on rewireing after converstion ,(not sure who wrote it ) but I just can tell what wires go where or if I have to get a EF manual loom??
the three looms , auto (6 wires) manual (seven wires) and car (8 wires are all different colors , not matching

just about round the bend with this , any help would be appreicated

plug your auto loom in and hack it up, use the neutral and reverse switch off that

hey man, i did the same coverstion on my ED last weekend,
i used auto computer and loom, with not a problem, just had to make it think that it was in park(so no Brake Light come on when starting).
and cut the piss out of it to get the reverse lights working again.
tape the other 12?wire plug put to the oil lines, all good.
dodgy, but it works!

can someone tell me the difference between manual and auto computer, other than the fact the comp changes gears??

thanx guys got it sorted , its purring along nicley ,the only prob I have now is Air bag light staying on , should have made this change ages ago Mark from what I can gather the maual ecu changes the way the fans run not sure on anything else as I got hold of manual ecu before conversion
