Finally fixed the problem with my car, the Auto electricians told me that it was a faulty EFI module, replaced it and it's right as rain, can someone explain what this thing does? cheers

Did they just replace the module or the whole EEC. There are a few modules which can apparently be replaced fairly easily, but htey normally just replace the whole EEC. What was the problem? the most common module to fail is the idle control module which obvioulsy causes idle and stalling issues.

yeah, I can't really think of an EFI module lol.. unless it's a broad way of calling an ECU that. If he said TFI, then yeah. When they s**t themselves, bad things happen. Mostly they go into limp home mode, where they stay at 10 degrees advance, which is all good for idle, but not that great for driving.
Cheers

Ok, take it back.. you have an EF, no dizzy. So, the EDIS module then? no wait, thats built into the ECU....hmmm...strange.
Cheers

Oh yeh, I take mine back too then
He could've given any part of the EFI system the broad name of 'EFI Module'.
