I have a Sept90 EA Fairmont Ghia. Is it easy to identify if I have a LSD diff??

there should be a tag on the diff cover or on the diff filler plug saying it's an LSD diff, failing that, chock the front wheels, put the car in neutral, jack up one rear wheel and try to turn the raised wheel...... if it's very stiff, it's an LSD

Ouch! Don't you hate it when it pokes you in the eye. I was after the tag answer but testing for a physical answer, well should of thought of that one myself.

or another way which is probably more truthfull, is to chock the front wheels, place it in nuetral and jack the car up from the diff in the centre so both rear wheels are off the ground, then spin one wheel, and if the other wheel spins the same way, you have an LSD, if it spins in the opposite direction to which you are turning it, you have a single spinner!
