go amaretto.

Isn't it just great when a paint colour suits the model for which it wasn't destined for better than it suits the one it was! :)

Don't see many AU's in amaretto. Good thing to.

I was parked next to one the other day, and I must say amaretto suits the EL's curves much better than it suits the AU's lines..

98's only, and even then Feb 98 and later only.

Check the part number on the head for absolute certainty.

Hey guys - since im kinda new to this whole thing and i have read a lot about different motors and stuff to do to your motors!

What are these hybird motors a few people seem to have? What are the advantages of em and whats just some general info on them

hi

it's basically the change where ford made from the EL to the AU motor and some EL's where fitted with them ,the difference is noticable as the sump is incorprated into the main caps and a cap girdle is also which stiffens the caps from " CAP WALKING " similar to 4 bolt mains on some of the V8's

makes things stronger in my opnion

have a look at some pics i posted in here give u a idea

cheers

just reading in the wade cams section about the 1636 profile, it says:

"We have developed a new profile for the EA / EL series 6cyl engine. Please note. This profile will not work in EL engines that have the AU
head fitted."

now i am confused :?

yup, they're talking abou the hybrid.

AFAIK there's no cam available that'll 'help' the hybrid engine (reports of AU spec cams being run in, the engine runs poorly).
