TDO7 25G is a big turbo and would work well, though they are hard to find used, a grand is the going rate for a good used one. On an SR20 it they produce around 250 to 300wkws depnding on eng mods and big revs, on a i6 they would do they same at lower revs
TD06's are more suited to smaller motors, Ive got one sitting here that needs a rebuild |

Sorry to highjack this thread, but a mate is looking at turboing his EB, he's about to buy a Mitsubishi TD07 turbo, does anyone have any specs on the TD07? Would it be a good size for a reasonable setup, he wants around ~200 RWKW......
If you need any more info let me know. Thanks

Yeah, tdo7 would be fine, they come in a few different sizes... If its a tdo725g it will be a good size. Would be good for plenty more than 200wkws too. But they are a basic, plain bearing turbo, if that really matters to him.

yeah they have been used, dunno the results though.
mate, any of these turbos will put boost into your motor, there's no deneying that fact. But most are too small for any decent kw gains and usually the power falls off at 4000rpm... lots of torque though. The thing is, think about what you really want... you can put a smallish turbo, say T03 sized, and you'll most likely get 160 odd wkws. BUT for that 160 you still need to do all the expensive stuff like ecu, injectors, exhaust manifold, intercooler ect... Spend the same $$ on the motor keeping it NA and it'll be a better car... do the cheapo turbo thing and it will just end up costing alot and piss you off in the mean time. Get a propper sized turbo and all the right gear if your serious |

Yeah he doesn't really care if it's a plain bearing turbo, I was just wondering if there's much difference between the Trust(or is it Greddy?) TD07 and the mitsubishi one, do Trust just modify the mitsubishi ones?

Yeah, Trust/Greddy is the one turbo maker. They start off with mitsu parts and mod them/ make there own hosings ect. They choose to use split pulse housings to aid spool up. Hardcore turbos... lots of $$
