go to super s**t auto and they got brand new aerpro "fully automatic" antennas which are a direct replacment for the manual antenna. They'll set you back about $100. They also come with instructions on how to fit it up

Ive got an EFII XR and my antenna is manual, but my mate reckons they came with electric ones. is this true and does that mean i can just get an electric one from a wreckers and put it straight on?

you hook up a positive and a ground to the antenna.
there will be another 3rd wire which hooks up to the stereo, so when you turn it on, the antenna goes up. On aftermarket stereo's, you usually hook this up to the blue wire. I don't know if the AU Forte has an output for one, but if not, just hook it up to accessories instead. The only downside is while the CD player is on, the antenna will still be up.
