yeah, but it shouldnt be that, cause i had no buzzing with my previous deck, one thing i am querying is the grounds cause there is two both black, but one with 2 dot trace and another with one dot trace which one do i connect to the decks ground. in my previous deck they were both connected

what about your rca's? are they runing same side as power cable, if they are run them opposite? and also if they are not running the same side as the power, check where it plugs into amp, see if it crosses the power cable,
hope this helps. cheers

There will only be one earth. It will almost certainly be the solid black wire. The one with the trace may be a number of things but is probably a speaker wire and hence the problem. Look at the wiring diagram supplied with the unit. What does it say about the colours?

take it back like rusty said, if its within seven days of purchase don't go for the send back to the company trick - GET A NEW ONE. It should be the deck has something faulty in it because it sounds like an electrical fault, otherwise have a look where you poer cable goes and if its not to close to your rca's, even though you said it was not with the old deck, the new one may have high voltage pre-outs or something that are more sensitive.

trace your cables, like pyroay said, its only going to be a small problem, ever heard of the sayin kiss? i was working at clarion and the ammount of times we get heads back when there is nothing wrong with them is astonishing, i kno that pioneer have a tendancy to run black with a trace for speaker cable, which isnt very smart i kno, but i think pyroay explained it well, CHECK YOUR WIRES. easy should have your problem solved in ten minutes, just member SOLID black is always earth

I doubt that it is the unit, unless incorrect connection has now produced a fault. What did the manual say about the wiring colour...?
