Can someone help me please i need to get my roof lining fixed and was wondering does anyone know who can do it in the redcliffe area and how much please:)Its in an eb2 Cheers

Did it myself...

Just take the roof out, peel off the lining... use a wire brush to get rid of all the old foam, then buy a can of spray on adhesive, glue the fabric back on.

If you can find some very thin foam you could put that between the roof and the lining... but its gotta be thin.

Some notes though:
1. Buy a couple of cans of glue to make it stick well!!!!
2. A good tool to get the black roof lining clips out is a cheap crimping tool.
3. If you fit foam, you'll need even more glue to make sure it holds, and mould to the roof. If the foam is too thick, the rear light mounting won't fix back in. I used 6mm foam from Clark Rubber and its too thick.
4. When puting the lining back on get someone to help, make sure all the holes line up.

Bugger... I thought that was my secret. Another couple of tricks I used to use to remove trim clips in my old job (ADR Compliancer for hirroshima screamers) is to grab an angle grinder and cut a V-groove in the end of a big old flathead screw driver OR use a weed puller (got a 2 pronged fork on one end and a handle on the other)

Me & me mate pulled a lining from a EL gli at pick & payless a few weeks ago and it only cost $30 and in good nic.
Its a pitty that his sister was smoking in the car & when me mate drove over a bump her smoke hit the new roof lining and gave it a bad burn mark

Hey just a question for the self installers?did you install your new lining at the wreakers or at home?if at home how did you get it home?
I installed mine at the wreakers

I didn't buy a new lining, I just ripped the old one out onto the driveway, stripepd it and re-glued and an hour later it was all done.
