soak it in some WD40/CRC - i ended up giving it a few taps with the hammer too :wink:

when you're putting the new one on, slide it over, then put the nut & washer on - this will prevent the shifter bolt falling through. then do up the nut & this will push the new shifter stalk on :wink:

Im getting mine form the wreckers firstlyn so dont have time to soak it in WD40. Anything else.

geeebus fraser - you should have just bought a ghia to start off with would have saved you all these mods!
