don';t do a google search, do a site search! EDIT: funny what you can find when you don't be lazy - http://fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.ph ... ight=shims basically shims are spacers. a lot of things use shims, e.g. some camber kits are adjusted by adding or removing shims, you can head head shims to lift your head up to alter the engines compression, and there's the shims your talking about - the ones for the hydrolic lash adjusters. bascailly these ones just lower the HLA's to compensate for the regrind cam.
