Hey, ive got a 95 EF Futura and my intermitent wipers dont always change speeds.

I spin the stalk selector to change ths speed, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Sometimes turning wipers off, then back on, then back to intermitent will then change speeds when i command.

Do you think its a problem with the stalk or the BEM?

Most likely the stalk.

There is a variable resistor in there with 2 wires coming off it. The wires just break off, and when you turn intermittant on, you only the fastest speed.

I've resoldered 2 so far. The stalk assembly is a pain in the a** to get off, but once done, its easy to pull the stalk apart.

mine does that too sometimes - I just think it is a dirty connector or something ... I'll take it off one day and suss it out.
