just wondering how much you guys paid for your auto to get rebuilt. Just wondering weather it's worth changing over to a man or just sticking with the auto.

a full rebuild will set you back around $1500 so i spose for the same money you could do a manual conversion but having said that you will obviously be using a second hand box which may last you a few years or a few months.

Yeah, 1500 - 1700 is a standard rebuild cost.
u could get a manual conversion for about the same price, but, the manny box could be stuffed, u still using an auto ecu, pedal box might collapse i rang Tremec (who did the original T5's), they want a touch over $3000 for a manual conversion, thats a reco manual box and manual ecu In my opinion, only worth doing if u do it properly, ie $3000 but since i dont have that, the rebuild will have to do

rebuild the auto and install a sequential shifter out of a BA, and add a shift kit.
i did see someone on here put a BA shifter into an EA or an EB it looked really good.

If your willing to get an auto rebuild done in Melbourne and shipped up to you, I know someone who does complete rebuilds with upgraded parts for the $800 to $1000 mark.

$850 rebuilt, exchange...seems to be the norm... but thats from wreckers so could be bodge jobs
