in the el 4 speed when it shifts from second to third gear it slips a little and jolts you back. when driven for about 1 hour, and you start revving it a little (3500 rpm max).
feels like a truck that is being double clutched. what is the problem. thanks

S5 or clutches are most likely rooted.

would the s5 or clutches going make it buggered all the time as this only happens after about an hour of freeway driving, when you accelerate off from the lights.
would an inline cooler help or will that only be extending the life a little. thanks

I recently got mine serviced and a cooler fitted. Had teh same problem, now all gone. ~$540 all up.
Had a badly warn output bearing, and no fluid.
