Finally got a 2.5" Redback system to go with my ph4480's today, nice growl at idle, raw and eager when the bbm opens up 8-)

Went for the straight-through rear pipe, with NO tip ($280 at Argy tyres, Glendale). Yet to see how much it drones out on the open road, can't be worse than my sister's vl commo

Next on the list is a Cam, the Wade 1636 seems pretty popular at the moment. Any suggestions of other cams/mods I should look at first are welcome.

helps to know if the car is auto or manual as that effects your cam choices

I've got the same setup, doesn't drone - you should be happy.

Yeah, get a cam!!! Try an ALTED cam mate.

Aah yea, it's an auto.

Just went for a blat out to kurri, no drone when cruising at 2000rpm - sweet. I think my gran will notice the difference though (used to be her car)

The ALTED stage 1 cam looks like some good competition, I'm keen to see what Spider's cam trials reveal.

You'll find that extractors really help your cam out, especialy the lumpier ones.

While we wait for the cam trials, you should get some extractors fitted!

he said in his first post that he's got the PH4480's.

Xplodefalcon, best thing to do is to talk to the cam manufacturer's suppliers (alted, wade, etc.) and find what they recomend.

Yes he did, my bad....
I recommend the cam/chip config I have now....lots of power, lots of torque. But you have an auto so crow stage 2 might be better for you.

Thanks for the input guys.

Smackdown, how much was your chip?
Chiptorque looks promising, I assume it changes spark/fuel maps, anything else? Auto tweaking would be nice (go the BTR :) )

I assume you'd still want vernier timing gears to dial in the cam?

You'll be looking at $600 or so for first program and chip
then $100 everytime you need it retuned.

Give them a call they're good to talk to as well.

I bought mine second hand of SVOXR6 with stage 3 crow cam for $600 then needed $100 to get it retuned for an EF instead of an EL.
So I got a bargain.

other E series have a different chip.

I bought a vernier gear but didn't need it as the cam dialled up perfectly (I measured it with a dial gauge)
