Looks like I will get the EB turbo from my earlier post.
My plan since I have a xg ute same motor etc is to swap the turbo setup on the eb and replicate it on my xg ute. This should be as simple as un bolting everything thing off the eb & put it onto the xg in the same spot I am not that mechanically minded but it seems that this would work right? For those out there that know more then me is there anything that you would advise me do differently or to check?? My only concern is the fuel regulator. Is it ezy to swap this over? ALso the oil lines might be a problem too? Really like some help on this.. Cheers |

..is the EB running any sort of aftermarket ECU?
The fuel reg isn't hard.. should be mounted on the fuel return line. oil lines shouldn't be hard, same as on the other, just need to have an oil return into the sump. Also, did the EB turbo have any engine work? Sorry if this was in the other thread. But if it had lower compression, or if it was "braced" for the turbo, it would be easier to swap it. Cheers

no as far as I know the eb did not have any engine mods.. Just a recond head before the conversion? Why u ask?

cos it might have a lower compression engine, which might have been built for the turbo application. A stock engine, while been fairly strong, and depending on boost, might not last very long.
Cheers
