G'day guys im about to buy an amp and i dont have any idea how to install it. Basically i want to run my rear speakers off the amp (so i will be installing it in the boot) and then i want to run just my front speakers off the H/U. How do i do this?

intsall amp in boot
what deck u got?

if u dont have RCA out puts
u will need a high output convertor to a low line convertor
cut the wires to the rear speakers and run them through the convertor to the amp
then from the amp run the new wires to the rear speakers
easy

the amp should have a manual! its simple audio from the HU to amp(RCA leads), positive power to amp from battery and then ground it, a remote wire from the HU to activate the relay in the amp so it powers up and finally the speaker connections....

make sure you fuse the positive lil' bastard first.

My suggestion go buy an amp hookup kit, it comes with all wires, terminals, fuses and rca's needed to do a basic amp install

buy an 8 guage amp wiring kit, bout 50 bux, run the rca's from the head, then run power from battery thru the fire wall, then take ground to ur boot, anyway with the remote , use the thin blue cable in the wire kit and run it to the cigarette lighter connector, as the lighter turns on with the ignition. easy :D

All pioneer decks that i know of come with the blue remote, and so the amp only cxomes on with the head unit, not the key. Far better idea!
