not trying to be a smart a***, but for 12k you'd expect it to be a v8 ghia with low km's.

A stroked Ghia... now that's an idea! I've bought an EL XR8 which is why I need to sell my Fairmont. Any mods to be done will be done to the XR8. I'm addicted to Fords and its hurting my wallet. |

to give you an idea on prices
A month ago a mate of mine purchased an EL GHIA with 120,000 on it for $8500. $12k is a bit steep. id be looking at more like 9.

I wanted 14 for my V8 Ghia and didnt get a single bite, so its of to the loony bin for me as the mods are now going to happen at an exponential rate, then maybe i will offer it for sale again. Who knows

I know this probably isnt relivant, but I brought my EL fairmont 4 years ago with 120,000 on the clock for $10K!
If I sold it now for $5k it has depreciated just over $1000/yr which is pretty damn good I think. I recently thought about trading it in for a BA or something, but just couldnt do it, firstly no-one would give me much for it, and secondly its just been too practicle & reliable. Theres also no value in trading up really, if I forked out a load of cash for a new car, I probably wouldnt get much benefit over what I've got (feature wise). So I'm fixing mine up with a bit of paint and will keep it for a few more years yet. |

I just bought my 96 EF11 Fairmont Ghia v8 for 9750 with 185,000 on the clock, I know its the model before but it is a V8, I think 12,000 for a 6 EL is not going to happen. People seem to only want 4's now. Maybe wait until people get used to dearer fuel.

Unless you find a genuinely interested buyer who is looking for a immaculate I6 fairmont you will be hard pressed seeking 12k... I saw a I6 fairmont going for 6,500 with quakes and average km's and this one has been up a while
