Hi guys and girls,
I got a really annoying problem. My break lights do not want to come off. As soon as i turn the car on the break lights come on and stay on the whole time. I have got an ef2 falcon futura. If anyone could help me it would be great thanks

Sounds like you need to replace the brake light switch which is up under the dash in front of the brake pedal. All i can suggest is... Have fun! Its not the easiest thing to get at

Anyone know how much the replacements ae? I've been meanign to do mine for a while, people must be very confused the way I can accelerate up hills with the brakes on... At least they can't say that they didn't get ample warning that I was stopping if they rear end me!

I replaced mine (brake light switch) a few months ago, I got the replacement from Supercheap Auto for less than $20 (If I remember right). And yeah, it was a bit hard to pin-point if the switch was really the problem 'coze I found it hard to test it (using an ohmmeter). And honestly, up until now, I don't know how it works (mechanically that is.). And yes, it was a bit tricky to replace. Punching bag and gloves will do.

Just don't buy the switches from a Ford dealer, somewhere around $45 for one
Sounds like that is the problem though. I had mine go on me a while back and it isn't that hard to replace.
