Has any one had a problem with there V8 idling fast in the Morning. Some times mine sits on 1,200 revs for about 1-2 minutes.

After that it's OK for the rest of the day.

Clean your throttle body and see if that makes a difference

Yeah, I would say that is pretty normal for a stock car.

The car will idle high when cold. It is part of the tune....sort of like a choke.

It started to do it for longer and longer every day.

Last Tuesday it sat on 1,400 revs for about 10 minutes before it went back to normal.

So when I got home, I cleaned the Idle Solenoid and it's been OK ever since.

Because I posted the thread over a week ago, and it got worse over a one week period.

When mine fires up, it goes to about 1500rpm for 10 sec max (usually only 2-3 sec), then back to normal idle.

The neighbours don't like it too much.
