Nice work Jared.
My current setup of King Lows, Monroe GT shocks, and 17's with 235 tyres still inspires no confidence in the cars handling. I think I've got to get some of this whiteline gear. Might start with the sway bars.

Springs and shocks is only a part of a handling package. It's all of a lowering package however.

For handling, you need, the sway bars, urethane bushes, and of course springs and shocks to match. Just throwing together a bunch of stuff from different brands picking the cheapest (or even the most expensive) of the bunch isn't the answer.

As suspsension is a 'tuned' system, each part must work with the others for the best results.

(ps: yeah I love my whiteline gear, and will pimpit to whoever asks. No I don't work for themor get any benefit from them other than top spec handling)

Well, even with a collapsed cat blocking up my exhaust, it has a fair whack more jump off the line, but even more importantly, it puts you right in the meat of the powercurve in 2nd at about 60k's (i still need to get my speedo sender gear :P).
It really launches out of slower corners.

Spot on.
It really does transform your car going for a tuned package like the Whiteline Kits.
There's only a slight reduction in comfort, for a huge gain in handling.
I have no regrets, and even with the trouble I had getting my rear springs, I have no hesitation in recommending Whiteline gear.

If you are considering lowering your car, and like having handling, not just looks, there really isn't anywhere else you have to look.
If you're umming and ahhing because it's a bit more expensive then a set of King springs and Monroe shocks, take the plunge with the Whiteline stuff.
You won't regret it.

(P.S. I'm not a Whiteline employee either, and they really did take forever getting my springs. But sooo worth it :D.
Now I'm going to drive some more..)

Be careful as that 3.45 will increase you're fuel economy. Even more so, that you're enjoying corners and launching more.

You going to upgrade the Sprint?

What fuel economy? :P

The only upgrade the Sprint needs is either a stroker kit or a blower hanging off the side of it :D
Ford kitted 'em out with all the good stuff suspension wise.
Full polyurethane bushes.
Fat bars.
Could use some softer dampers, it's pretty harsh atm.
Might look at adjustable Whiteline bars down the track for it as well.
Other then that it's pretty sweet as it is.

What I really want to do is a) get properly licensed to drive it (auto license :P) and b) join a club so I can do some track days in it.

Amen to all above comments about whiteline.

Drove with a mate down the Great Ocean Road recently.

He had a stock 2005 Impreza RS 2.5 (same suspension as WRX with 2.5 litre non-turbo)

Basically when both of us were giving it heaps I could easily pull away in the corners even with his 4WD.

My suspesnsion is stiffer and more jiggly over minor bumps than his but the wheels stay firmly planted and the handling inspires so much confidience.

I found increasing the rear rebound damping in the koni's made a big difference over the inital setup went from very good to excellent. (1 and 1/4 turns in rear)
I have the EL GT swaybars in now and while this makes for an almost perfect streetcar, for the track I would reccomend the larger whiteline ones.
