Should bolt straight on. If your getting bigger manifolds would it wise to get a bigger throttle body as well to alow the manifold as much as as it wants cause the stock 65mm one is a bit on the small side.

Stock ones on Pre-AU V8's was actually 58mm which doesn't actually flow too bad however yes while doing the manifold swap it would be an ideal time to upgrade the TB. A 65mm is perfect for most 5L engines IMO. Although they do flow much better than stock, they are still a little behind the aftermarket manifolds such as Edelbrock. I still like the FMS range because IMO they are the best looking manifolds but it may be worth considering aftermarket. Also worth looking at is the Ford Cobra manifold, flows equal to or slightly more than the GT40 and is a fair bit cheaper in th US. |

mate... generally the ford parts fit better than alot of aftermarket ones..
el gt had the GT40 tubular Upper.. ebgt had the Cobra Cast upper and the AUs had the explorer upper.. as was posted before the explorer and cobra are pretty much the same(except some details like where the air sensor goes, or something like that).. the gt40 tubular is supposed to support a bit more power than the cast versions but the cast versions can be extrude honed to flow more. gt40 tubular is lighter, so ideally you should try get one of those if you're sending it back to aus.

the only thing you'll find with the 65mm US throttle body is you have to modify where the accelerator cable clips on
