Hi every body,
Took the liberty of installing an air horn into my 94 ED falcon classic. Has worked brilliantly for a number of weeks untill today. I beeped at a friend and then stopped beeping. The horn only seconds later must have seen a friend of his because the damn thing started going off. I hit the horn with my palm instinctively and that did the trick, however, when i now turn the steering wheel a few turns to the right (mainly) the horn just goes crazy. This is very embarrasing! Does any one know whats going on? |

horn pad is probably worn out. there is a foam layer between the 2 metal
pads in the horn pad that eventually wears out.

I'm a bit of a tightar$e so I just replaced the foam with the thickest, softest double-sided tape I could buy. That was 5 years ago, and still going great. regards, Oz. PS.. not meaning to nit pick, but the foam actually perishes, rather than wear out. Mine literally turned to dust. |

It's almost a given that the foam has perished. Very easy to repair at home without a need to wake the moths in your wallet.

Tahts why u connect it up to a separate switch, like i did, as if u connect up to originnal horn, its Unroadworthy, just put in a separate switch, its not hard at all.
There great, Get looks from pple, like "WTF was that" cheers
