I did a search and turned up nothing so i'm wondering.

What is the difference between the falcon Vs say a Fairmont Ghia in the power steering set-up?

How hard is it to do a conversion?

speed sensitive? How do they manage that with a power steering pump? Electric systems would be easy, but the only other way would be with valves and solenoids?

There is a solenoid on the rack to allow for the varying of pressure.

I am not sure if the racks with out the speed sensitive steer have the hole for the solenoid to screw into or not, or the wiring loom for that matter.

The solenoid is controlled by the EEC.

Yep, only on EL Ghias, and if you have an EL Fairmont V8 and do a diagnostic check it will spit out a variable power steering fault code every time! Its because they run the same ECU. The official word from the Factory manual is "disregard the fault code"

Ok i found out all i need from a friend

The EL fairmont Ghia's had it.
- It is a different rack
- Different Power Steering Pump
- Uses a differnt loom and is controlled by the computer.

It simply applys more pressure to the power steering and as your speed increases it reduces the pressure back to normal to give better feel at higher speeds

All up a lot of work to fit to a car that doesn't have it.
