Hi Guys,
As State in Thread Title Does Anyone Know The Best Way To Disable The Air Bags And To Remove The Air Bags In A EL XR8 To Change Steering Wheels Over.

pull the airbag fuse and wait 5-10 mins for the power to discharge, and go nuts!

when i got the ford bloke to fit mine in the el he didnt even pull the fuse or disconnect the battery,i stood well back,lol,but he reckons really no need..

I'd go with interceptors suggestion.

Disconnect the abttery or pull the fuse.
But there's actually no nered, when I did mine I poped the bonnet, went over there with a spanner, got distracted, came back later did the wheel change over, then went to connect the battery and relised I never finished disconnecting it... But if I do it again I;kll disconnect it!

I'm in the repair business just disconnect the battery and remove the airbag you shouldnt have any major dramas getting them out

official ford stuff says d/c battery and wait 1 minute. This is current from EF-BA
