seems like the most fitting place for this?

well, the fairmont voltage guage used to sit pretty much on 13.8v i think...

after installed a wad of audio gear the guage seems to sit on ~13.8 at times.. but the guage climbs up slightly to 14v or maybe 14.2 at times..

is this bad? or is it ok?

is don is good.

its okay to be at that because it gives you audio more power to run the subs and lets your amps performs to there max watteage stated.

Cheers

You can tell the diff between 14.0 and 14.2 ???

Seriously, it won't hurt anything, as all teh electronics have regulators in them to brign it down to a tightly controlled 12v or 5v anyway. And you're amp will love it as it's easier to pull the power with move volts - otherwise it has to pull more amps (current).

P = V * I

Power = Voltage times Current (Amperes)

So raise either will get you more power.
