Hey fellas
Been a while since iv been on here (yr12 exams :S ) well as u know the car is to be used as a limo once a month or so... so im after a exaust system or components that are sort of quite at low rpms ( < 2700 ) but i want mass airflow and heaps of powa out of the exaust... any ideas? i know it sounds impossible, but is there any exausts quite near idle? can any post mp3s of their exausts if its not too much trouble? Many thanks eMz |

A single exhaust pipe with two offset straight through mufflers might not be too bad. That with cat converters that still have there insides should quieten it down to not too bad at normal driiving, but give you a nice noise when you open her up.

Cats are fine and the stock exhaust is actually reasonable too. I would start with some good pacemaker or similar extractors, will make it a touch noisier but it will be a nicer sound and performance should improve quite a bit. Then look at a single 2.5" system with 2 decent straight through mufflers, it should then flow plenty and still be quiet, plus you can make it louder down the track if you want by just removing the rear muffler. You could also go twin 2.25" but thats about twice the price of the single.

twin sounds good but the thing is im upgrading to a 02 LTD in about a year, so wat ever i do to this car, im planing to take off the mods and put them on the LTD.
Iknow extractors will be hard, n i might just leave them there i guess. Btw i took the pod off and tryin to sell it now.. too much hot air, no patience to make a heat sheild :S |
