Hey guys,
i thought i would post this up because you just never know. I am first year uni student. i am currently looking for a firm that is willing to take me for one day a week or fortnight just so i can get some experience while i am going to uni. I thought i would post this on Fordmods because i thought even though it may be a slim chance it is still a chance that one of you guys know an accountant willing to do this or even one of you may be one . Cheers and it would be much appreciated. |

I dont know about over east but in WA firms often offer Vacation work for 2nd and 3rd year students and often offer them jobs after this. Your best bet mate is to go to the accounting firms websites and they usually have a section were you can apply for these positions, being 1st year not sure if the bigger firms will take you on but they definantly will in 2nd and 3rd.
Good luck in the search mate btw im a 3rd year Accounting student

the big firms won't go near 1st year students - only 2nd & 3rd after you've made your decisions in regards to your majors.
other option is to go to a smaller firm - i started working for my boss 1st year - he lives 12 houses down the street from me - i'm now a full time tax accountant - its sweet!
