Just thinkin,
since i am rebuilding a motor slowly but surely, is it possible to fit a BA twin cam head to a 4 litre block? I was thinkin if i used a BA turbo head i could use alot of the factory turbo manifolds n such. make life a little easier. different timing chain id guess but would it work?

the engines don't share much, the heads are completely different sizes.

i was pondering this mod ever since the el "with a ba turbo" at autosalon.
that guy said that he had to modify the crossmember to fit it. does sound like a good idea, as even the n/a BA's are getting great power now. |

the cross member needs about as many mods *read: cutting) as it takes to put an AU engine in an EF/EL.

or just buy a BA to begin with and get the decent suspension and interior and transmission and everything else that makes the BA a good car
