There a lot of posts on this subject so do a search. I am doing this conversion on my existing engine. You will need something to switch the manifold vac solenoid at about 3400rpm. You can fit anEF/EL ECC depending on which engine you fit. I would personally go EL with the dissy, not EF with coil pack, they seem to have too many failures. You can use an electronic RPM switch (Jaycar kit) but you will not have the fuel/timing maps in your ECC for the different manifold etc.
DO YOU HAVE SMARTLOCK?????

If so you can just plug in the EL ECC and wire up the manifold, also lets you have thermo fans controlled by the EEC. If you dont have smartlock then adding it can be fairly daunting, because the EL ECC has smartlock. There are some ways around this problem but can cost $$$ or a lot of stuffing around.

Hope this helps and dosn't put you off doing the mod.

As I said search this site and take your time to read and make your decision.

Yep, if you don't have smartlock DO NOT run the BBM. You just won't get it running right.

So mcuh better to run the EL ECU and get the switching, timing and fuel maps all spot on.
