been round cars for years, nnevver had this one
na 4sp auto shifts HARD in low gears, feels like its draging [ change it one day ] top rad tank cracked replaced it with a brand new one resault ! eng runs at the same temp but trans drives like new ???? part blocked cooler line IN the old rad ? find that fault.

You do know that automatic cars have an oil cooler for the transmission in the radiator? Its a bit hard to decipher your post - try writing sentences instead of short statements.
Shifting hard could have been because your tranny oil was too hot, and therefore too thin... but what do I know I drive a holden,. |

yeh, the auto's have a small part of the rad for trany oil cooling. Unless you've got the heavy tow pack or a V8, then you get an additional cooler as well.
I've put a taxi spec cooler on mine (it's at least half the size of the radiator), and bypassed the radiator altogether.

Oh and your engine temp should stay the same, its just the thermostat will be opening and closing more or less I would have thought..., but I dont think there is a thermostat for the transmission cooler.

no, but there is a temp sensor for the tranny, which will put the ECU into limp mode if it overheats.

yeh. it can be hot enough to firm up shifts without being overheated tho

The V8s got a seperate transmission cooler at the front and it goes to that first and then to the radiator, so it helps reduce thermal shock to the radiator.
It definately sounds like a blocked transmission line in the radiator side tank. Dont mind KTASTRPHE he drives a manual holdung. Your ex is still going strong Kurt. It occasionally whispers that it hates you for going red.
