I've been looking around for my new exhaust system.
Have settled on pacey comps, 2.5" redback and a new cat (stock one is currently residing in my middle muffler :P)
Local place has quoted me $1050, fitted, with a 2 year warranty.
But now I'm worried about clearance between my gas converter and the extractors?
I'll post a pic of where the convertor is situated (only pic I've got here at work, not a good one, but gives a rough idea of position).
I've been looking at pics of peoples installed comp series extractors, but it's hard to tell whether they'll fit or not.
If they do, it'll be close I think.
So, extractors near convertor = bad, right?

I know pic doesn't help that much...
Any opinions?

that looks like a vialle converter, the ticky one, and they are a big unit.
so i don't think your in luck.
the exhaust place should be able to meassure it up for you.

In your opinion, is it bad to have high temperature extractors close to an LPG convertor? :P
Also, anyone wanting to buy a complete LPG conversion?
POS never gets tuned right anyway...

a few heat sheilds may fix the problem, but bare extractors next to a converter not a real good thing for the long run as it can cause premature failure of the seals.

I just put the factory heat shield bnack over my Pacey Comps, didn't take much effort at all!
I've got heaps of room between my converter and the extractors aswell.
Any other angeled pictures of that?

Not here at work unfortunately twr7cx.

I'll probably drop into the exhaust joint on the way home, get them to have a squizz, and ask about modifying the factory heatshield to fit.
If they think it's a goer, I'll book it in for RDO on friday.

The converter is mounted on a piece of sheet metal that has been bent, then shares the bolts with the two inner bolts on the top strut mount.
I'll go have a closer look now actually, steal a ruler from the office and measure some s**t up :P

ha ha... tuning gas.. you joker fuzion... :P
Every time I get my gas supposedly 'tuned', it ends up worse then when I dropped it off.
If anyone knows a GOOD lpg specialist, preferably western suburbs of melb, or north regional, let me know.. :P
I'm dropping into exhaust place on my way home, so i'll let you know how it goes.
