I was just reading somewhere that the rubber boots on the steering arms are pressurised when the rack operates????
Is this correct??? Would having the boots broken affect the steering at all??? I always thought they were just covers to keep out dirt???

Hrmm, this could be the problem with me as I'm losing bulk power steering fluid. Every 2 or 3 days the pump is empty and needs filling! I'll try to fix it after exams.

Yeah, could be. Check your power steering switch and all hoses first though.

Power steering switch??? I get the feeling that its the pressure hose tho. Cause I've changed the top seal of it but it still doesn't seem like a tight fit, Maybe the hose it buggered. I'll keep you posted when I have more time. Cheers mate.

I have leak in the power steering, but its coming from the pump as it is dripping the fluid all over my alternator...
... hey, did everyone know that power steering fluid is just auto transmission fluid???!? I didn't know that until recently...
