is there any benefit of a metal intake, when u can get an EL intake from ford for 40 dollars?
i thought i read somewhere that the metal allows more engine heat into you intake air, making the feeling of heat soke even worse. Where as the plastic does not conduct as well and therefor u get cooler inlet temps? Ideas anyone?

the metal is better cos it allows for more air flow yes it does conduct more heat then plastic but the piping doesnt change shape or size like the plastic intake but if you know of someone that can do the same job with plastic and make an intake pipe you will get the best of both, and please give their number.
