I absolutely love this interior. I wanna do the same but with black and royal blue suede. Is it possible to paint the dash without taking the whole thing off?

And risk getting paint all over everything thing else? E.g. over spray on your windscreen and that.

yea youd have to mask A LOT of stuff and very well too. i wouldnt risk it.
lol ive been working on making my interior black for a while... although im not taking out the whole thing! :?
ive done dash surround, shifter surround, power window switch surround, centre arm rest, door trims, sun visors, roof linings around the sides and above windows, kick panels, scuff plates, rear door window bits, A pillars, bottom half of B pillars and to finish off the rest of the pillars i gotta get my hands on a torx bit to get the seatbelts off.

Yeah you'd pretty much have to mask up the whole interior!
Still, it'd probably be easier than pulling the dash out
I doubt you'd get as good a finish doing it that way though. The back piece of the dash is easily removed so you could spray that seperately, but you hardly notice that anyway once it's in.

Yeah the bit at the base of the windscreen. You could probably not paint that anyway - like you say you don't notice it and I like breaking up solid black with a bit of grey here and there anyway.

I've copped a bit of glare from my "chrome" (it's more silver) cluster surround in late afternoon sun on occasions, but it's only happened 2-3 times in a year so it's not an issue and it's not that blinding. I think those asshats with half a toyshop on their dashboard or great hunks of s**t hanging off their mirrors would be more distracted!

i sprayed mine metalllic silver and it doesnt seem to be to bad. Little bit glarey but it looks sweet. The dash board is easier to spray in the car than taking it out. I gave mine about 8 coats i think to ensure i didnt miss any....

Well the red inserts had to go, they didn't match my new phantom paint job so I retrimmed them in black velour. I'm going to try and dye or paint the red bits on the steering wheel purple or black - after a close look it seems the red bits are only painted anyway so hopefully I can pull it off without buggering it!
Still haven't got my new seats yet but I'll post pics when I get em.

While the trims were off, and the whole doors for that matter! (while the car was being sprayed) I whacked a UV (purple) LED in each door handle - wired to come on with the parkers of a night.
