Jaycar Kevlar 6'5 Splits
or
Pioneer TSC 1553 Component Slipts
or
Pioneer TSD 161S Component Splits???

Im looking for problarly a 50/50 SPL/SQ system, I dont know alot about the Pioneer range but i know the Jaycar Splits are primarily SQ designed. I listen to alot of metal music but also alot of punky music so i need a nice speaker that can put out good bass but not lack in the treble part either....

What dya think???

Im a big fan of MBQuart splits (Discus or Reference)...
They are awesome for clarity but they can also pound out a really mean beat...

The discus are their bottom range but they are IMO better than 99% of other speakers out there. The references and up are just awesome to hear. :)

I really like Rockford Fosgate there splits are awesome. Have a set of punch and a set of power in my car and they both go off.

the TS-D161's arent splits, they're coaxials, the D-series splits are the TS-C160R

what kind of budget do you have?

i'd suggest stretching your budget to $380 and getting the JL Audio VR-600CSi splits off www.doranproaudio.com.au

For $400 (if you stretched it) you would get a set of Discus splits (http://www.doranproaudio.com.au/product ... prodID=800) maybe... (you can get them for cheaper than that as well, never pay RRP for car audio)

Those JL spits are really nice too, one of my mates has them in his car and they go pretty hard!

I am still of the opinion that the MBQuarts are the way to go...

EDIT:
Have a look here http://www.caraudioaustralia.com/forums ... opic=39955
Comparison of the JL's and the MBQuarts
